That’s because the set will be available to buy at a designer signing event at the Leicester Square LEGO Store, ahead of its wide release later this summer.
The event will run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday April 27, and Trafalgar Square designer Rok Zgalin Kobe will be on hand to sign copies of the set. Head over to Facebook to RSVP to the event.
We’re not encouraging reselling, of course, but if 75244 Tantive IV is anything to go by, signed copies of LEGO sets are highly collectable. And that’s not even mentioning the bragging rights that come with being one of the first people in the world to own a new set.
Unfortunately, the LEGO Group is yet to reveal exactly how much 21045 Trafalgar Square will cost, which is likely to be a sticking point for many fans debating whether to make the trip.
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
