Do the LEGO Marvel minifigures contain an extra character?
The LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures have an exciting selection of characters for fans of the superhero cinematic universe, but does 71031 Marvel Studios feature an extra character?
The official images for 71031 Marvel Studios showcase the minifigures and accessories included within the series, revealing additional characters not represented with full brick-built characters such as Alligator Loki and Throg. However, some fans believe that Scott Lang may also be featured with Zombie Hunter Spidey.
Ashnflash has explored the topic in a new video, posing the question of whether this additional head is intended to be an unmasked Peter Parker or the disembodied head of Scott Lang as seen in a jar in the full What If…? trailer.
Certain features such as the stubble and the aforementioned jar are missing from the build, lending evidence to the belief that this is in fact Peter Parker’s head. However, the LEGO Group have used the same face for the two characters in sets before such as between 76129 Hydro-Man Attack and 76124 War Machine Buster.
To help answer the question once and for all, the LEGO Group were contacted to determine the identity of this extra head, with a representative stating “For this we are only able to share the information that has been released up to this point. I guess we will know more starting August 11 when What if…? premiers on Disney+.”
If this accessory is meant to represent Scott, that would bring the character total of 71031 Marvel Studios to 15 through 12 minifigures and thre potentially through other builds.
Whether you believe the accessory to be Scott Lang or Peter Parker, it can be yours as part of the Zombie Hunter Spidey minifigure in 71031 Marvel Studios when it releases on September 1 for £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99 with other characters including the Scarlet Witch and four variations of Captain America.
