Emmet’s Holiday Party: A LEGO Movie Short released

A special short has been released ahead of the release of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, titled Emmet’s Holiday Party: A LEGO Movie Short.

Emmet’s Holiday Party: A LEGO Movie Short has been released today to help build hype for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. This two minute LEGO animation can definitely be termed a “short”, but still manages to pack a little story into its run time.

With Emmet and Lucy lamenting life in Apocalypseburg, the plucky builder has the idea to hold a holiday party, although the artistic freestyler is not too keen on the idea. A few instructions and some organisation later, Emmet has put on a holiday bash for all of his friends – that as they keep emphasising, can be seen from space.

“However you celebrate, let’s celebrate together,” says Emmet, as Alfred arrives to join Batman, amusingly attired in similar armour to his bat-buddy. All of the friends are happily celebrating until General Mayhem turns up – to deliver a star sticker to top the Christmas tree.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released in February 2019.
