Every LEGO set retiring in 2022 – July update

Our latest round-up of LEGO sets retiring by the end of 2022 comes just as a handful of products leave shelves, with Super Mario, NINJAGO and CITY all seeing sets retire this month.

While most sets on this list should stick around until the end of the year – or relatively close to December – some are pegged for mid-year retirement, so you’ll need to act fast if any of them are on your shopping list. Fortunately, now’s as good a time as any to pick them up before they’re gone, as the LEGO Group is currently offering double VIP points for two days only.

Elsewhere, we’re seeing movement in Technic, NINJAGO and Speed Champions, with multiple sets’ retirement dates pushed back to the end of 2023. That’s good news for your backlog (and your wallet), as you’ve now got a little more time to grab the likes of 76901 Toyota GR Supra and 71770 Zane’s Golden Dragon Jet.

These dates could all yet change, of course, as the LEGO Group is no stranger to shifting around its portfolio on a whim. But according to our sources, these are the sets currently retiring in 2022 (whether in July, December or somewhere in between) at the time of writing.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
