Dozens of LEGO sets have already been confirmed for release in 2023, across themes new and old. Here’s a complete rundown of everything announced so far.
From the return of a long-dormant theme to a hard reboot of one now more than a decade old, 2023 has plenty of good stuff in store for us already – and that’s just from the sets launching in January. Across LEGO Marvel, Icons, Friends, Creator, Monkie Kid and even The Lord of the Rings, here’s a full list of every LEGO set currently confirmed for 2023. We’ll update this as more sets are revealed.
LEGO Art
A single LEGO Art set has been announced for January 2023, and it’s once again a departure from everything the theme has given us so far. A mix of both 31206 The Rolling Stones’ three-dimensional relief design and mosaics like 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection, 31208 Hokusai – The Great Wave recreates the Japanese artist’s legendary woodblock print.

LEGO Avatar

LEGO BrickHeadz
LEGO The Lord of the Rings is back in 2023, but perhaps not in the way any of us expected: it’s kicking off with three BrickHeadz double-packs, focusing on a handful of the series’ most iconic characters. (And the Balrog.) LEGO Star Wars is also getting a new addition here in 40615 Tusken Raider, which genuinely looks like one of the best-designed BrickHeadz yet.

LEGO City
It’s all change for LEGO City in 2023, with Monkie Kid and NINJAGO stalwart Simon Lucas heading up the design team for a refreshed wave of sets. Hands up if you like monkeys. Keep your hands up if you like LEGO monkeys. That’ll be everyone, then, which means there’s the widest possible target market for 11031 Creative Monkey Fun. The first and only LEGO Classic set revealed for 2023 so far, it’s a one-stop shop for all kinds of monkey business.

A dozen new Collectible Minifigures will debut in January in 71037 Series 24, which already looks like the best in-house collection of characters in years. Nostalgia fiends will be gunning for the brown Classic Space astronaut (and space baby!), Black Falcons falconer (meta) and Fantasy Era-inspired Orc, but there’s plenty to love beyond those too.

LEGO Marvel
A total of 10 new LEGO Marvel sets have already been revealed for 2023, split across January and March release windows. The first seven bring us five different mechs (including yet another Hulkbuster), probably the best Quinjet to date and a cool car for Miles Morales, who has officially declared that it’s Morbin’ time. Three Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets will then follow later in the year.

LEGO Speed Champions
LEGO Speed Champions continues to upend its regular March release schedule with another movie-inspired vehicle, joining August 2022’s 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 and 76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. This one again draws on the Fast & Furious franchise, this time with a Brian O’Conner minifigure.

LEGO Super Mario
LEGO Super Mario is cooling down for 2023 with sets anchored around an ice biome, but that doesn’t mean the sets are tepid. The latest round of expansion sets should offer plenty to keep fans of the interactive course-building theme entertained, at least until August, when – going by previous years – a new digital figure should be added to the line-up.
