Here’s what you can expect to see at LEGO CON

The first information of what we’ll be able to see at the upcoming LEGO CON event has been revealed, with portions themed to Minecraft, Super Mario and more.

The LEGO Group seem to be excited for their first-ever LEGO CON later this month, as a tease at the schedule has been revealed on Twitter. This unveils in detail some of what we can expect to see at the digital event.

The six-panelled picture likely isn’t showing us absolutely everything coming to the event, but it at least confirms a Minecraft designer Q&A with guest Lydia Winters from Mojang as well as the previously-teased LEGO Star Wars set reveal.

LEGO Super Mario is listed as featuring ‘a closer look at the latest sets’ which may mean a sneak peek at 71387 Adventures with Luigi Starter Course, but it could also be hinting at some set reveals. Nothing is confirmed though.

A pair of challenges will also populate the event such as a Technic race and a Harry Potter building task. The last teased portion of LEGO CON so far is an interview with a real-life astronaut in conjunction with some CITY sets. There’s definitely more to the event though, with the image stating exactly that.

The excitement for LEGO CON continues to build as the event draws ever closer. The first official LEGO CON will take place on June 26 at 6pm to 8pm CEST, 5pm to 7pm BST, and from 9am PST. It will be streamed live from the official online store so need to worry about booking transport or tickets, but you can still cosplay your favourite minifigure if you want to.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
