New Indiana Jones 5 character revealed in another image

A new Indiana Jones 5 character has been revealed in another first-look image as the film’s marketing continues ahead of its 2023 release.

A new image of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character by Empire as part of their recent coverage for the movie. There are also more details on her ‘pivotal’ role in an interview with the actor and other members of the cast and crew.

The fifth Indiana Jones film is currently scheduled to release on June 30, 2023, and details on its plot are thin at the time of writing. However, as we approach its release, more details have been revealed including that it is set in 1969 and that it will take place, at least partially, in a more metropolitan area than previous movies in the franchise.

Waller is playing Helena, Henry Jones Jr’s goddaughter, in the fifth film and the character is described as slippery and a grifter, traits that may mix interestingly with Indiana Jones’ archaeological goals.

£Honestly, I just loved it,” says Waller-Bridge. “When you’re playing a character who throws herself on the back of a vehicle, there’s no acting around that. You just have to bloody do it.”

Rumours suggest that LEGO models for the new Indiana Jones movie, as well as some for older entries in the franchise, are coming in 2022 and though the theme’s return has yet to be confirmed officially by the LEGO Group, Helena could be a good opportunity for a new minifigure.
