LEGO 2K Drive’s Hamburghini Royale is the racing set we never knew we needed

There’s one vehicle we’ve spotted in LEGO 2K Drive that we need as a physical brick-built racing set – the Hamburghini Royale.

With LEGO 2K Drive due to launch in May, players are less than two months away from getting their hands on what looks to be a fun and fast-based open-world racer. The first in what’s described as a ‘multi-title partnership’, the interactive driving experience will arrive in three different editions, two of which include exclusive content.

LEGO 2K Drive is said to be packed with customisable car options, allowing players to build their own vehicles from the ground up using a library of over 1,000 elements. Whilst some of the game’s four-wheeled rides already exist as physical sets, there’s one we definitely need to become a reality at some point – the Hamburghini Royale.

This crazy food-based vehicle can be seen being assembled in the launch trailer for LEGO 2K Drive and is part of the exclusive Bonus Pack that’s only included with the Awesome Rivals Edition of the game. Those who purchase this version of LEGO 2K Drive will get to experience the full beef patty thrill of driving around in a giant burger car, while everyone else will have to purchase the car separately, potentially using the in-game coin currency.

There’s no denying that the Hamburghini Royale would make for a unique physical LEGO set, so we can only hope it’s appearance in the game might one day lead to a real model of the delicious drive. The closest we’ve come to date is 41349 Drifting Diner, a racing-based Friends set featuring a brick-built burger on top of a fast food eatery that has a small sticker of what looks suspiciously like a Hamburghini Royale located on the side of the model.

LEGO 2K Drive is due to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 19 (Standard Edition), or May 16 (Awesome Edition and Awesome Rivals Edition). Click here to find out more about the game, or here to check out all the various versions and pre-order bonuses.
