Every BrickHeadz in LEGO 40622 Disney 100th Celebration is special

The only LEGO Disney 100th anniversary set currently confirmed has a significant selection of BrickHeadz representing key parts of their history.

The LEGO Group is set to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Disney in a big way throughout 2023 though, at the time of writing, only one set has been officially confirmed.

40622 Disney 100th Celebration includes brick-built caricatures of four characters that play a special role in the history of Disney. From left to right of the official images, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is Disney’s first character, dating back to the Trolley Troubles short on September 5, 1927.

Mickey’s role in the history of Disney may be evident, but the LEGO BrickHeadz in this set specifically depicts the character from the 1928 Steamboat Willie short, the first appearance of Mickey Mouse to be distributed. Snow White represents Disney’s first feature film of the same name from 1937.

Tinker Bell stands out from the other three BrickHeadz. Her inclusion is not to represent her debut in 1953’s Peter Pan, but instead as the first Disneyland mascot thanks to her high-flying appearance above the castle in the nightly firework shows, including the theme parks in the initial anniversary celebration.

You can pick up each of the significant BrickHeadz in 40622 Disney 100th Celebration when it launches on February 1, 2023, for £39.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.
