LEGO Art 31202 Disney’s Mickey Mouse officially revealed

Brick-built paintbrushes at the ready: the LEGO Group has officially unveiled LEGO Art 31202 Disney’s Mickey Mouse.

The 2-in-1 mosaic includes the tiles you’ll need to construct an image of either Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse. And just like this year’s LEGO Art sets, you can combine multiple copies for a bigger single image.

In this case, that just means sticking both Mickey and Minnie side by side. But doing so reveals the reason for their seemingly abstract backdrops: together, they create those iconic mouse ears.

The 2,658-piece mosaic will launch on January 1, 2021 for £114.99 / $119.99 / €116.97. It’s not the only LEGO Art set debuting next year, though – 31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests is also on the way, as confirmed by online retailer Van Der Meulen.

Meanwhile, rumours suggest that Elvis Presley and Batman are also joining the list of LEGO Art pop culture icons, and another mosaic will reportedly recreate the world map. Treat those stories with caution for now, though – at this stage, they’re still very much in the sphere of rumours.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
