LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa officially revealed

An upcoming LEGO Art set that recreates an iconic masterpiece has been officially revealed, with 31213 Mona Lisa due to launch later this year.

The LEGO Group today pulled back the curtain to reveal 31213 Mona Lisa, a 1,503-piece LEGO Art set being released on October 1, 2024 and priced at £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic masterpiece has been recreated in 3D, with the completed 18+ model measuring over 43cm high, 30cm wide and 4cm deep.

Based on one of the world’s most recognisable paintings, 31213 Mona Lisa offers a unique brick-built version of the original artwork, one that uses new bluer colour elements to reflect how da Vinci’s creation would have looked over 500 years ago. The LEGO Art set includes a drum-lacquered gold, detachable frame, allowing the completed build to be displayed on a wall for all to view.

31213 Mona Lisa also comes with two sets of eyes that can be swapped with blank pieces to give the painting a more abstract appearance.

In addition, the upcoming 31213 Mona Lisa will be supported by its very own LEGO Art Podcast, which promises to feature fascinating content on the painting’s timeless appeal. The episode will be hosted by Jack Gardner Vaa, who has invited three special guests: Dr. Francesca Borgo (Professor of Art History at the University of St Andrews), Jennifer Dasal (host of the ArtCurious Podcast) and Milan Madge (designer of the LEGO Art Mona Lisa).
