A LEGO location makes a cameo in Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye finale

The final episode for Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye features a cameo from the LEGO Group with an appearance from an older flagship location.

Please note that this article will contain spoilers for the finale of Hawkeye, which is now available to watch on Disney+.

Anyone who has watched Hawkeye’s sixth episode may have spotted a familiar logo, as it turns out a climactic confrontation in the final instalment includes a cameo from the New York flagship LEGO store.

During the fight between Clint Barton and Yelena Belova on the ice rink at the Rockefeller Center, many moments from the battle feature the LEGO shopping location in the background, with no major attempt to hide or blur the store.

This might mean that the LEGO Group agreed to have the store feature in the finale, as a form of advertising. Multiple shots of the confrontation highlight sections of the store, but only for a few seconds. The LEGO Group’s logo, a giant minifigure and the Pick a Brick wall are most visible.

A fresh New York flagship LEGO store has been designed since this scene was filmed, with the updated location including elements tying into the new retailment concept. Notably, the Marvel Cinematic Universe show is set in December of 2024 according to director Rhys Thomas, meaning this superhero version of the LEGO Group must not have redesigned the shop yet.

With the release of episode six on Disney+, Hawkeye has now come to a close as the only series from Marvel Studios on the streaming service yet to receive at least a LEGO minifigure. The other four shows were all represented in 71031 Marvel Studios. Following the launch of the finale, a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been revealed.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
