LEGO Fans can help decorate a Christmas tree for a good cause this holiday

The LEGO Group is asking fans to help decorate an original Christmas tree, to help bring the holiday to children in need.

As part of the ongoing Build to Give campaign, the LEGO Group has launched a new social media event on Instagram. Fans on the platform are being asked to help decorate a Christmas tree and give LEGO sets to less-fortunate children.

Anyone wanting to help can head over to the LEGO Group’s French Instagram page and join in on the fun. The page is running a series of votes to decide what decorations should be put onto the tree, with the most popular of each being chosen.

Every aspect of the tree is up for a vote, including the colour, the height, the decorations and what characters will inhabit it. Each vote will count towards a LEGO set being given to a child as part of the charity program. The finished tree will be shown off on December 24.

The LEGO Group has teamed up with We Are Social for this part of the campaign but fans not on Instagram can still take part. On any platform, fans can use the #BuildtoGive hashtag with a photo of a festive LEGO ornament and the LEGO Group will donate a set to a child in need of play.

Fans needing some inspiration or more information on the program can visit the Build to Give webpage. There are even some instructions for The LEGO Group’s own ornaments available for download, including some reimagined LEGO Star Wars sets.
