Though there have been multiple custom LEGO roller coaster with loops using the relatively recent track system, the LEGO Group is new to this classic feature of thrill rides. In 10303 Loop Coaster, the first two loops in a LEGO roller coaster can be found, and they use a variety of new pieces to do it.
For the loops, only one new element is used alongside some inventive part usage of existing track pieces. The brick features a 90-degree curve with attachment points on the end of the track, pointing in separate directions. These can be used to form a full loop as they have a slight turn to them to ensure that they don’t get in the way of an already-placed track piece.
The other new piece comes in the form of a turn with a slight incline to slow the train down before it reaches the station. This element could also be used to create a winding track that goes down or whatever else you have in mind.
The potential featured in 10303 Loop Coaster may make it a must-have for many, and it includes 3,756 pieces and 11 minifigures for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99. For VIP members, you can pick it up today, July 1, 2022.
