LEGO Ideas Hunger Games project stands out with combined arena display

The LEGO Ideas community have been consistently demanding a set based on The Hunger Games, but the latest attempt stands out.

TobyTheBuilder64 is the latest enthusiast on LEGO Ideas to pitch a model based on The Hunger Games movie franchise. Such submissions usually focus on the iconic 74th arena from the first film, but this new project to reach 10,000 supporters has expanded on that idea significantly.

Their idea is to make a set paying tribute to four arenas and one iconic scene from the franchise, combined together in a single display reminscient of 75685 Emerald City Wall Art. The Hunger Games: 5 Arenas is divided into five interconnected sections, each representing one of the arenas, using 2,782 pieces. These sections include one for the 10th, 50th, 74th, and 75th arenas. The final section pays tribute to the attack on the Capitol to include the Mockingjay book and films.

It’s a clever and unique approach to a LEGO The Hunger Games set proposal based on what has come before, all while tying into a genre of decorative LEGO set which the LEGO Group currently shows great interest in. The user also suggests six accompanying minifigures, depicting President Snow, Lucy Gray Baird, Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and Finnick Odair.

Alternate cornucopia builds are also suggested, altogether making up an interesting LEGO The Hunger Games tribute proposal. Whether it will have any success has yet to be seen, since this build is only just progressing to the third 2025 review at this stage. It joins 22 other models at the time of writing.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
