LEGO is teasing something for Harry Potter

The LEGO Group has published an image of a giant, golden, brick-built statue of LEGO Harry Potter, teasing something still to come for the boy wizard’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

As announced on the LEGO Group’s Facebook and initially reported by Brick Fanatics, the brick-built Wizarding World does have something planned before the end of the year, with the first tease being an image of a huge golden Harry Potter minifigure, just like he appears in 76386 Hogwarts Polyjuice Potion Mistake.

In the background of the teaser, stacks upon stacks of boxes can be seen in a warehouse, with the text of the post describing a mystery to solve with some plot hiding items dear to the LEGO Group. The teaser also features the emblem for the theme’s anniversary, confirming a connection.

This follows Neville Longbottom’s actor celebrating the 20th anniversary of the theme in a new video. At the bottom of the image, the copyright notice references the flying Ford Anglia, meaning that a new set for the magical vehicle could be on the way.

Alternatively, this massive minifigure might just be an elaborate promotion for the upcoming but possibly delayed 40452 Hogwarts Dorms GWP. The gift was one of two offers planned to launch in the last week of October before being removed from the monthly store calendar.

With the model already being sent to reviewers for early previews, a complete cancellation is unlikely and following this new teaser, the LEGO Group certainly have something up their sleeves for the future.
