Three LEGO Jurassic Park characters are about to be easier to obtain

The new LEGO Jurassic Park 30th anniversary sets have a few characters that have been hard to come by as minifigures previously.

The upcoming range of LEGO models for the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park includes many minifigures and you can pick them all up starting from June 1, 2023. However, some of them may have an extra reason to purchase them, especially for those who are new to the theme.

In 2019, 75936 T. rex Rampage debuted the first minifigures of Ray Arnold, John Hammond and Dennis Nedry. Before the 30th anniversary models, they were no other ways to get any of them. Over on BrickLink, their resale value is more than that of most minifigures, as organised in the below table.

75936 T. rex Rampage minifigureFebruary 2023 average price on BrickLinkMarch 2023 average price on BrickLink
Ray Arnold £18.16 £16.03
John Hammond £32.90 £28.72
Dennis Nedry £13.07 £9.80

However, their average price in March compared to February, potentially before these sets were revealed, is notably higher, suggesting that demand for them is decreasing. This may be because all three characters return in the upcoming wave.

John Hammond is featured in 75960 Brachiosaurus Discovery; Ray Arnold is in 76961 Visitor Center: T. rex & Raptor Attack and Dennis Nedry is included in 76958 Dilophosaurus Ambush

Whether the reveal of these new sets and the second appearances of these characters have spurred less interest on BrickLink has not been confirmed, but prices have decreased in March 2023.

Now that 75936 T. rex Rampage is retired, you can more easily obtain minifigures of these iconic Jurassic Park characters from June 1 in the upcoming range of sets for the 30th anniversary, which also includes a brand-new character for the theme.
