LEGO Marvel Spider-Verse minifigure has something 2025 set needs
The new LEGO Marvel Spider-Verse book minifigure has something that a 2025 set would benefit from but has been prioritised for Spider-Man.
When you think of metal arms in Marvel, the character that immediately comes to mind probably isn’t Spider-Man – though the character has used such equipment as depicted in the new Spider-Verse book-exclusive minifigure. Cyborg Spider-Man is coming later this year. While the head is misprinted in official imagery, the level of detail in this minifigure is still astounding for the wider theme.

The number of Marvel minifigures (outside the two Collectible Minifigures series) that have both arm printing and dual-moulded legs is exceedingly limited and there’s one recent entry with neither detail that ideally needs arm printing at least.
The new Winter Soldier minifigure in 76314 Captain America: Civil War Battle has a few issues, including the wrong hair colour and a surprisingly strapped torso but the paramount problem stems from the unprinted arm, which has always been printed in every other Winter Soldier minifigure. Unfortunately, the arm in the 2025 model is completely unprinted which adds to its issues.

It’s odd to see that the LEGO Marvel team has prioritised a metallic printed arm on a Spider-Man minifigure rather than on Bucky Barnes in 2025 when one character is well-known for using such equipment. In reality, this may have been due to different teams handling the exclusive minifigure and the sets with budgets assigned individually, which we recently explained with Star Wars and Harry Potter.
For the community though, it only makes the new Winter Soldier minifigure that much more jarring compared to every other version of the character. That consequently only makes the new Spider-Verse Minifigure more enticing and you can find out more about the upcoming book by clicking here.
