The price of LEGO Star Wars’ Blue Milk Luke is probably only going up

Rumours of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s bonus minifigure returning for May the 4th have proven false, so the price of Blue Milk Luke is likely only going in one direction.

If you missed out on the Deluxe Edition of TT Games’ latest title at launch, you’ll also have missed out on the easiest (and perhaps most economical) way of getting your hands on its exclusive polybag, 30625 Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk. Your only option for grabbing it now is turning to the aftermarket, where the polybag is selling for – in some cases – more than the game itself.

On eBay, for instance, Blue Milk Luke – which includes two unique elements in Luke’s double-sided head and the Bantha-decorated blue milk carton – has sold on more than one occasion for £51 in the UK, with one auction going as blisteringly high as £96. Most have levelled off in the £40 region, which is still a princely sum for a single minifigure.

It’s also more than you’ll pay for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga itself if you shop around, as the saga-spanning video game is currently available for as little as £39 on PlayStation 5, or even £32 on PC. But for a while, it seemed like that might not always be the case, as initial rumours around May the 4th indicated the LEGO Group had overproduced the polybag, and would subsequently give it away across this year’s Star Wars Day event.

We’ve now got official confirmation of all this year’s deals, however, and 30625 Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk is unfortunately not among them. Spend £160 / $160 / €160 from May 1 to 8, and you’ll cop 30495 AT-ST (free with a £40 / $40 / €40 purchase), 5007403 The Mandalorian Beskar Keyring (free with orders above £70 / $70 / €70) and 40531 Lars Family Homestead Kitchen.

The Skywalker Saga’s Blue Milk Luke is selling for big bucks on eBay
Here’s what happens when you 100% LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

That’s a lot of goodies for relatively little investment, but you’ll need to look elsewhere if you want Blue Milk Luke. And with seemingly no more supply ready to be injected into the market, it now seems very likely that the minifigure’s aftermarket price is only going to go in one direction: up. If demand persists as it currently is, you can bet that this LEGO Star Wars minifigure – as per so many others – will become increasingly valuable as time goes on.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour happening here with the magnitude of scalping. I wish LEGO poked at the scalpers and produced more of those figures and included them in either future promotions or looked into making more physical editions of the game. I didn’t expect it to be this crazy; I didn’t purchase deluxe edition of the game as I was a PC gamer and it wasn’t available (would have otherwise) and thought i’ll just pick this one up for about $20 from the aftermarket.
