LEGO VIP Weekend sales and deals
The LEGO Group typically runs an entire weekend of offers exclusively for LEGO VIP members ahead of Black Friday – but what can we expect from VIP Weekend in 2021?
Back in November 2020, the LEGO Group offered an exclusive buildable teal brick, double LEGO VIP points and early access to last year’s Black Friday gift-with-purchase for an entire weekend. All that was only available to members of its LEGO VIP rewards program. That was the second year in a row the biggest shopping event of the year had kicked off a week early, so we’re expecting LEGO VIP Weekend to return this year. Here’s everything you need to know.
LEGO VIP Weekend

While the LEGO Group is no stranger to Black Friday sales and deals, in 2019 and 2020 it also decided to host its own separate shopping event, exclusively for VIP members. It’s essentially a sneak preview of what’s to come from the LEGO Black Friday event proper, but includes at least one exclusive freebie that won’t be available the following weekend. This offers an incentive to start shopping early and start building up those all-important LEGO VIP points.
The LEGO Group has also managed to (mostly) keep on top of its inventory throughout 2021, at least compared to the stock issues it experienced amid the pandemic in 2020, but that doesn’t mean things won’t sell out over Black Friday. If you want to ensure you grab deals while they’re still in stock, LEGO VIP Weekend is really your best bet.
This year, expect VIP Weekend to fall on November 21 to 22, a week before the Black Friday shopping event gets underway. For more, check out our live and regularly-updated LEGO VIP Weekend page.
LEGO VIP points

LEGO VIP points are the LEGO Group’s primary way of rewarding its most loyal customers. Once you’re signed up to the LEGO VIP program – and doing so this year will also earn you a free blue LEGO minifigure keychain – you’ll earn 5% of your total order value back in LEGO VIP points, which you can then redeem for vouchers towards future purchases, or on exclusive rewards offered through LEGO.com.
The LEGO Group also regularly runs double LEGO VIP points events, offering a tasty 10% back on purchases at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores for VIP members. These happen across the year – usually in March, July and October – but also on VIP Weekend, which means you can earn the maximum possible LEGO VIP rewards while also taking advantage of other gifts-with-purchase and freebies.
LEGO VIP Weekend sale

For the past two years, the LEGO Group has offered a buildable 2×4 brick for free with qualifying orders at LEGO.com across its VIP Weekend event – first in red, then in teal. That suggests a third brick in the series may follow in 2021, presumably in a brand new colour, such as yellow.
The minimum purchase threshold for 6313291 Buildable 2×4 Red Brick and 5006291 2×4 Teal Brick was £200 / $200 / €200, so if we do see a new promo added to the collection in 2021, expect a similar (if not identical) required spend to pick it up.
Last year’s VIP Weekend also gave us the chance to pick up 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute ahead of Black Friday, when the gift-with-purchase was made available to all shoppers – not just for those with a LEGO VIP login or LEGO VIP discount code. Whatever GWP the LEGO Group has up its sleeve for Black Friday 2021 will therefore probably be available across VIP Weekend 2021, possibly with a £150 / $150 / €150 purchase, as per 2020.
It seems safe to assume LEGO double VIP points will return for this year’s event, offering possibly the best effective discount you’ll find on the LEGO Group’s many exclusive sets, including its LEGO for Adults range, its LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series and several of its LEGO Ideas products. Couple that promotion with the expected multiple gifts-with-purchase, and it’s hard to find a better time to buy from LEGO.com with a LEGO VIP discount code.
Finally, the LEGO Group last year offered one lucky customer the chance to win a cool 1,000,000 LEGO VIP points, worth £6,250 / $7,692 / €6,667 in rewards vouchers. Fingers crossed the same competition returns in 2021.

Is LEGO VIP free?
How much are LEGO VIP points worth?
In the UK, for example, you’ll earn 800 LEGO VIP points for every £100 spent. A single £5 discount voucher to spend online or in-store costs 800 points, so you’re essentially earning 5% cashback on standard purchases. This value increases during LEGO double VIP points events, when you’ll earn 1,600 points for every £100 spent, and if you choose to spend your points on physical rewards, which often work out at a higher return on points (per the value of the reward) than vouchers.
