More LEGO Batman: The Animated Series sets may be coming
The new 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City may not be the only LEGO Batman: The Animated Series coming in 2024.
The official reveal of 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City marks the first LEGO representation (or second counting a LEGO game DLC) of the classic animated series and considering the few LEGO DC or Batman sets we’ve had recently, it may be a welcome sight for most.
Rumour has it that it won’t be the only LEGO Batman: The Animated Series set for long though. A recent list of rumoured LEGO DC sets for 2024 Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ included more details on the previously reported 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile. It’s believed to cost $59.99 with 435 pieces and include minifigures of Batman, Mr Freeze and Harley Quinn.
Two of those may be the same as the minifigures in 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City, given that the sets are rumoured to have the same source material. We’d also point out that a miniature Batmobile based on Batman: The Animated Series is included in the 4,210-piece model too.
Those who can’t afford or don’t want to pick up the £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 set may be able to grab the Harley Quinn and Batman minifigures this summer provided the rumours of 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile are accurate. Joker and Catwoman should remain exclusive to the larger model though.
For Batman: The Animated Series enthusiasts, it could be an exciting year judging by the rumours. Note that nothing beyond 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City has been confirmed at the time of writing and everything unannounced should be taken with ample caution.
76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City launches on April 1 for LEGO Insiders and April 4 for everyone else.
