As we enter the week of LEGO CON 2022 – which takes place this Saturday, June 18, at 5pm in London, 12pm in New York and 9am in Los Angeles but will be streamed on YouTube – the LEGO Group has decided to reveal a full look at what we can expect from the show from a variety of the themes that will be in attendance.
Starting with Marvel Studios, a new set has been confirmed and a previous teaser suggested that it could be the rumoured Sanctum Sanctorum model. There will also be unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to LEGO Star Wars, though whether that will include an announcement is unknown. for NINJAGO, the text notes preparations for a grand finale, which could be referring to either the end of the show or this chapter of the theme with a soft reboot as has been rumoured.
LEGO Friends is confirmed to have a sneak peek at upcoming adventures, which might include new sets, or an animated special and similar content. Super Mario has been announced to be getting a set reveal at the event for character packs, potentially to go alongside the upcoming wave with Princess Peach. A fifth series was previously listed online at a retailer alongside a larger set.
Other than building challenges, the other notable inclusion on the schedule is the mention of the brand new theme, which may be Avatar judging by rumours, previous teasers and the confirmation that Avatar will be at the event in some form.
