An early release in the rebooted LEGO Harry Potter range – 75955 Hogwarts Express – has appeared in the latest Argos LEGO discounts.
This set generally retails for £79.99. However, Argos are currently selling it for £60 instead.

75955 Hogwarts Express recreates the train that transports students to and from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Like previous versions of the set it includes the Hogwarts Castle locomotive, a single passenger coach and a chunk of Platform 9 and 3/4. References to The Prisoner of Azkaban (in the form of Remus Lupin and a Dementor) can be found in the set, as can other characters such as the trolley witch.
Unlike the upcoming 76405 Hogwarts Express – Collectors’ Edition, this set can run on standard LEGO track. However, it’s not designed to be motorised out of the box, so some extensive modification will be required.
If such a craft project piques your interest, now may be the best time to acquire this particular model. It’s due to retire by the end of the year (if it doesn’t sell out before then) and the only alternative model will be considerably more expensive.
