Smyths updates LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey status

LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey has been “removed” from the LEGO range, according to an updated product page at the Smyths website.

The set that the LEGO Group pulled after sending thousands of products out to retailers, Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey, has an updated status on the Smyths website. The retailer sold the set for several weeks at the beginning of August.

Perhaps after getting tired of receiving messages and phone calls from LEGO collectors, Smyths Toys has updated the product listing with the message: “LEGO have removed this set from their range and we will not be receiving any more stock.”

After an initial flurry of LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey sets selling for more than £1,000, the aftermarket value has come down to a price that’s a little closer to its originally intend RRP. The price has settled at around £600 on ebay in the UK.

The set was due to launch on August 1, until the LEGO Group annoucned its ‘cancellation’. Thousands of sets were then sold and continued to be sold one week into August, despite the claim that only a few places would sell the product.
