The next Star Wars Celebration is heading to Japan in 2025

There won’t be a Star Wars Celebration in 2024 as the next instalment of the event has been announced for Japan in 2025.

As Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 closes with its final ceremony, the team hosting the event have confirmed that the next iteration of the regular Star Wars fan gathering will be in Japan in 2025. An earlier announcement confirmed that this is the next Star Wars Celebration, with no plans for an event in 2024.

Taking place from April 18 to 20, 2025 in Japan, Star Wars Celebration will be missing 2024 as it has frequently done with every other year. However, the current schedule has the next Star Wars movie set for December 19, 2025. Whether this is one of the three announced at the event has yet to be confirmed.

The 2023 iteration of the event had a fair number of announcements, especially regarding upcoming movies with three more revealed.

Updates to Ahsoka, The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew, Visions Volume 2, The Bad Batch Season 2 and more were featured too.

We’ll have to see if Star Wars Celebration 2025 can live up to the 2023 iteration. This will be the second time that Star Wars Celebration has been hosted in Japan.
