The best LEGO sets of 2024 (so far)

We’re a quarter of the way through the year and it’s about time to start wondering about the best LEGO set of 2024.

Now that April is underway, we’ve had three months of LEGO reveals, releases, and rumours. That’s included some high-profile newcomers, whether that’s an entirely new theme in LEGO Animal Crossings, a crossover with a new IP with 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, or the ever-growing inter-theme collection of space-themed sets.

LEGO Star Wars is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, so there have been some tempting releases even in just the first wave of anniversary sets – with still much more revealed and rumoured to be on the way. All in all, 2024 is shaping up to be a good year for LEGO fans – but what’s the best set of the year so far?

We challenged our own Matthew to come up with his top set of the year so far – which quickly turned into a top ten when he couldn’t narrow it down. He eventually ended up with a list of 23 sets, evidence of the strong line-up we’ve had in the first three months of 2024.
