The LEGO Movie 2 themed LEGO Store opening events start today
In the USA, two new LEGO Stores are holding Grand Opening Celebrations themed around The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
Starting today, fans can participate in special build activities as part of two new LEGO Store Grand Opening Celebrations. The events are themed around The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, making them a bit different to the standard store launch. Crossgates Mall, Albany, New York and Dadeland Mall, Miami, Florida will both be hosting the same activity.
During the weekend, LEGO Master Builders will be on hand to help visitors construct an eight foot tall Emmet statue using LEGO bricks. Attendees will also be able to build a make-and-take mini picture frame.
- Today, the first 400 customers spending $100 or more will get a free LEGO 40145 LEGO Store set.
- On Saturday, the first 500 customers will get a free Emmet’s House micro build with any $50 purchase.
- On Sunday, the first 400 customers with get a free “limited edition” Emmet t-shirt with any $75 purchase.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019.
