Whether the LEGO Group has any LEGO Super Mario sets planned for the movie has not been confirmed. However, provided there are plans in place, we may see a similar approach as with the LEGO Minions models based on Minions: The Rise of Gru. When that was delayed, the accompanying builds were released normally with one already retired before the film had a chance to land in cinemas.

That’s only speculation and no LEGO sets inspired by the Super Mario movie have been confirmed. At the time of writing, the next wave for LEGO Super Mario includes a new Princess Peach interactive figure and her castle.
