Toys R Us “Force Friday” brick giveaway
Over in the US their Toys R Us have done big events for both LEGO and Star Wars coinciding with every new movie release. It looks like tomorrow will be no different as tomorrow is Force Friday and is when all the merchandise for the upcoming Star Wars movie goes on sale. It will be like Black Friday for Star Wars fans as they rush to get what they can/want. It will also be time for those wishing to cash it by hording certain toys in the hopes of selling them on for more money down the line.
Thankfully while I am looking forward to the film there is nothing I’ve seen in the LEGO line up that makes me want to go out tomorrow and spend. However if you are in the US then make sure you shop wisely and get what you can for your money. Customers attending the TRU festivities will receive a free poster and a free LEGO commemorative brick. Instagram user what_the_brick posted a picture of said commemorative brick yesterday.
The brick is a 1x6x5 gray panel featuring a New Order Stormtrooper from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the words LEGO Star Wars on top. According to the Toys R Us press release, there will also be an exclusive Star Wars poster, while supplies last. Force Friday begins 12:01am Friday September 4th, 2015.
