Two new LEGO City sets out now and ready for take-off

A pair of brand new LEGO City sets are now available to order online, including this year’s advent calendar and a fine alternative to this month’s latest LEGO Icons set.

60367 Passenger Airplane headlines a small but sweet wave of LEGO City releases for September 2023, delivering a minifigure-scale airliner with a curious (but striking) tail assembly. It’s joined on shelves today by 60381 LEGO City Advent Calendar 2023, and both sets are out now all around the world – so you can pick them up wherever you’re reading this.

If you’re already getting in the festive spirit, 60381 LEGO City Advent Calendar 2023 is the one to aim for: behind its 24 doors are Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and a whole host of seasonal mini-builds and minifigures. Good luck resisting opening it until December if you do buy yours now, though. (Maybe you could buy four copies to count down every month until Xmas. No? Just us?)

But if you reckon it’s all too soon to be thinking about Christmastime, keep your eyes firmly locked on 60367 Passenger Airplane. The 913-piece set includes seven minifigures, a catering truck, passenger bus and baggage truck alongside its aircraft, which is pretty much the entire airport experience… apart from the terminal. And the long wait to get through security. And inevitably having to take your shoes off.

Both new LEGO City sets are debuting alongside a handful of other headline releases from themes including Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter and more. For now, check out all the details on the two new LEGO City builds below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
