Updating the layout of the LEGO Fairground Collection

LEGO ICONS 10303 Loop Coaster brings an updated look at the layout of the LEGO Fairground Collection, reflecting more recent sets.

With the retirement of 10261 Roller Coaster, 10257 Carousel and 10247 Ferris Wheel, the map included in the biggest roller coaster model is looking a bit outdated. However, 10303 Loop Coaster features a remedy to this issue.

The updated park map featured in 10303 Loop Coaster features the same arched entrance gateway with two flags but has made a few adjustments to reference an updated portfolio of fairground sets, both part of the Fairground Collection and not.

In the middle of the winding path, 10303 Loop Coaster stands tall with the two loops and tower resembling a skyscraper, which is to be expected since it’s included in the new set. However, two more models are referenced behind it.

Both 10273 Haunted House and 31119 Ferris Wheel are featured on the map, despite only one being a fellow member of the LEGO Fairground Collection. The carousel to the side doesn’t exactly resemble any existing models that we can think of, so it may be a sign of things to come, or possibly just a decoration.

This updated layout for the LEGO fairground reflects a changing portfolio of models, with the Fairground Collection now embracing sets that are not part of LEGO ICONS but still fit in with the rest of the range, opening the door to other rides from other themes.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
