What LEGO set could be revealed at Walmart Collector Con 2024?

Walmart Collector Con 2024 is confirmed to feature the LEGO Group, leaving us to wonder what could be revealed in the run-up to May 2024.

Both Star Wars and the LEGO Group have been revealed as attendants at Collector Con and 2023 saw the reveal of two LEGO Star Wars sets at the event. That doesn’t necessarily mean that LEGO Star Wars will be the subject of reveals at Collector Con 2024, but keeping in mind the precedent and that it’s the 25th anniversary of the theme, it’s at least plausible.

Both 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter and 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer were revealed at the event in 2023, launching months later on May 1, 2023. That’s one smaller standard set and one LEGO for Adults model. The list of LEGO Star Wars sets rumoured for release this year features models in both categories, possibly offering an idea of what to expect next month.

Some models on the list are in themes typically exclusive to the LEGO Group, including BrickHeadz, or launching after May making a reveal next month less likely. Looking specifically at the rumoured May releases, 75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama, 75381 Droideka, 75378 BARC Speeder Escape and 75383 Sith Infiltrator seem to be the most likely contenders within these parameters, provided they’re real.

75380 Boonta Eve Podrace Diorama would fit in the place of 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer, reportedly offering a microscale scene similar to the midi-scale Super Star Destroyer. LEGO Star Wars dioramas are widely sold too.

The rumoured 75378 BARC Speeder Escape could round out the reveals with a more affordable pre-order alternative at $29.99, as was the case with 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter in 2023.

All rumoured information has yet to be officially confirmed but for now, we know that the LEGO Group will be featured at Collector Con, likely with some kind of set reveal. The event takes place on March 14 and 15 with sneak peeks starting on March 7. These sneak peeks have not been confirmed to include the LEGO Group at the time of writing.

It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
