Walmart Collector Con 2024 teases LEGO reveal
Walmart has teased the first details of this year’s Collector Con event and confirmed that the LEGO Group will be involved after two reveals in 2023.
Walmart’s Collector Con for 2024 is officially taking place on March 14 and 15 with a sneak peek starting from March 7. The landing page for the event teases that there will be some kind of reveal from the LEGO Group.
Last year’s event featured the unveiling of LEGO Star Wars 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter and 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer and pre-orders were available shortly after.
What is planned for 2024’s Collector Con has not been confirmed, though precedent suggests that we have something to look forward to. Whether it could be for LEGO Star Wars or another theme is not known at the time of writing either. Provided the LEGO Group’s involvement is for a LEGO Star Wars reveal as it was in 2023, there’s a lot rumoured for theme for later this year.
A partnership with the retailer suggests that whatever is revealed will be available to pre-order, possibly ruling out any typically exclusive models or gifts-with-purchases. There are four more special 25th-anniversary minifigures yet to be revealed too, though that depends on what is potentially revealed at Collector Con.
