Who else could be in the rumoured LEGO Marvel Sanctum set?

Recent LEGO Marvel rumours include a modular Sanctum Sanctorum with three unknown minifigures, raising the question of who they could be.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and based on the latest trailer, it looks to be an exciting entry introducing characters from across the cinematic multiverse and beyond.

While the movie already has one LEGO set, a recent report suggests that it is getting another with three unknown minifigures, inviting speculation as to who they could be.

Remember that these are only rumours and the information in this article is only speculation based on officially released material for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Doctor Strange variants

Benedict Cumberbatch looks to be playing at least three roles in the upcoming film as multiple variants of Doctor Strange have been confirmed including the familiar version of the character, another named Defender Strange and at least one more with a sinister appearance. There might be a fourth with an undead look, though it is also possible that this is the fate of one of the multiversal variants.

Whether there be three or four versions of Doctor Strange in the film, the report suggests that the main timeline character will at least be included in the potential set, and we can imagine the other slots being taken up by more minifigures of the superhero too.

America Chavez

One confirmed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness character not mentioned in the rumoured set is America Chavez, who has already received a minifigure in 76205 Gargantos Showdown.

Unless she is intended to remain exclusive to the currently-available model, her significant role in the film, as suggested by the trailers, could warrant a spot in the rumoured set.

Professor X

The most recent trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness included the voice of Sir Patrick Stewart as an ominous figure moved slowly forward into the frame. Those who are familiar with Marvel movies outside of the MCU will know that the actor previously portrayed Professor X. Following similar appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s possible that the character will play a role in the new film.

The LEGO Group has released a few X-Men minifigures as part of LEGO Marvel, with Wolverine returning soon in 76202 Wolverine Mech Armor. However, Professor X is one character yet to be represented in the theme. The appearance in the film combined with the rumours of another Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness set might mean that a Professor X minifigure could be included in the reported model.
