Will 21311 Voltron be the largest LEGO Ideas set yet?
Rumours circulating online suggest that LEGO Ideas 21311 Voltron will be the largest – and most expensive – set in the theme so far.
Later this year, LEGO Ideas 21311 Voltron, based on Leandro Tayag’s project, will be released as an official set. Now, the Brick Fan directs us to rumours on Reddit that suggest this will be the largest LEGO Ideas set yet. The price point being reported is €179.99, €30 more than the most expensive set so far, [geot exclude_country=”United States”]21310 Old Fishing Store[/geot][geot country=”United States”]21310 Old Fishing Store[/geot] which retails for €149.99. It follows that this is also likely to have the highest piece count of any set in the LEGO Ideas theme, too.
While Voltron was recently resurrected on the small screen, Tayag’s Voltron – Defender of the Universe is inspired by the classic piece of animation. As a fairly niche property, making the set so large could be seen as a risky proposition, but with a very dedicated fan base, perhaps the set’s success is assured no matter what the price.
