LEGO Santa’s Workshop in Covent Garden
In what is apparently now an annual feature, a new LEGO Christmas build has arrived in Covent Garden Piazza, London. Visitors can get a picture with the build and share using the #LetsBuildXmas hashtag.
The subject matter this year is Santa’a Workshop, featuring Father Christmas and his Elves preparing by filling sacks with presents. The team at Bright Bricks used 700,000 LEGO bricks to put the scene together.
There is an additional layer of interactivity – if fans download the Blippar app the sleigh will come to life and provide three different experiences:
- Instructions on how to build a LEGO Christmas decoration
- Decorate your own LEGO selfie
- Win LEGO sets
The project is a collaboration between LEGO UK, Covent Garden and Bright Bricks. The scene will be in place until December 29, 2016.
