LEGO Comic Creator launches for SDCC 2020
With San Diego Comic Con a virtual event, the LEGO Group is offering the online LEGO Comic Creator.
LEGO Comic Creator is a new online experience that allows fans to make their own comic book, featuring a customisable minifigure avatar. The unique story will even be set in either the Star Wars, DC or Marvel universe.
The experience starts with mixing and matching a minifigure using the online options, then choosing a name. Next there are a series of questions to answer, which will inform the comic’s story. Finally, users provide their email address and a copy of the comic will be sent digitally.
In addition, the first 10,000 people to go through the LEGO Comic Creator will receive a printed copy of their bespoke comic book.
A similar experience was available last year at San Diego Comic Con, the annual pop culture bash that this year is being hosted online instead. LEGO exclusive sets have not been made available online, with a LEGO Super Mario set titled 77907 Toad’s Special Hideaway rumoured to have been planned for the event.
