The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special sees Rey fight Vader
Representing the way children play with LEGO Star Wars toys, the new Holiday Special will mix up different eras of the saga, giving Rey the opportunity to duel with Darth Vader.
Rey is going to face off against Darth Vader in The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, with the new animated one-off set to mash up different eras of the saga, combining the prequel, original and sequel trilogies.
The latest entry in LEGO Star Wars animation will be The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, which will see Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Kelly Marie Tran voicing Lando Calrissian, C-3PO and Rose Tico.
“We started realizing that the way they play with them isn’t with canonical separation, it’s not, ‘Let’s put all the classic trilogy sets here, the prequel sets here, new sequel sets here,'” Executive Producer James Waugh told Entertainment Weekly. “My son literally just dumps his bucket out. We realised that was a play pattern that could actually inform the fun of this show.”
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special will arrive on Disney+ on November 17.
