Online LEGO video game may be coming from TT Games
New job adverts suggest that TT Games is working on a LEGO video game featuring online gameplay.
TechRaptor has picked up in a tweet from MauroNL, who spotted that TT Games is hiring for something new, based on a major IP (intellectual property) being built in Unreal Engine. What stands out is the mention of online play, with “fun, networked player mechanics.” Typically, LEGO video games are very much offline, so this would be quite the departure for the long-running series.
It could be that online play will somehow be part of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but that seems unlikely as what has been revealed so far paints it as a typical LEGO game, albeit with some significantly upgrades. More likely is that this is an as-yet-unannounced title.
Two jobs have been posted, one of which is a Game Programmer, with the role reporting “to a senior programmer on a team who will act as a mentor, guiding you through our code base and getting you up to speed as quickly as possible.” The other is for a Junior Game Programmer.
