Star Wars’ The Mandalorian’s cutest moment, recreated in LEGO bricks
The latest episode of The Mandalorian was equal parts painful and adorable – and one of the cutest moments has been immortalised in LEGO bricks.
Warning: spoilers for The Mandalorian: Chapter 23 ahead. This is the Way.
IG-11 has returned (sort of). Grogu is quite literally on a level with the other Mandalorians now, after climbing into the body of IG-12, the reconstructed droid body of his saviour from Season 2. This prompted one of the most adorable scenes so far, where Grogu made use of IG-12’s basic speech tools to irritate Din Djain to no end.
This also proves that every time that Grogu has apparently been unable to understand Din’s instruction, he actually does know exactly what he means.
Now, the LEGO Ideas fan designer behind LEGO Ideas 21327 Typewriter, Steve Guinness, has immortalised the moment forever in a custom LEGO build. He shared his model to Twitter, with a video to show off its motor functions.
The metal frame of IG-12 is recreated with grey and silver LEGO elements, with a Grogu figure tucked away inside. What’s more, the entire build is motorised, which means it’s ready to step into some Mandalorian brawls at a moment’s notice.
