A retiring LEGO modular building is back in the UK

The next LEGO modular building to retire is back in stock at the official online store in the UK – but time is running out to pick it up.

According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, 10264 Corner Garage will be gone from shelves by the end of 2021. And while six months is normally plenty of time to grab any LEGO set, the modular building’s intermittent availability at LEGO.com means it’s currently proving pretty tricky to get hold of.

Fortunately, fans in the UK can now order the £159.99 model with immediate delivery, as it’s once again listed as ‘available now’. 10264 Corner Garage has spent much of 2021 either on back order or temporarily out of stock, however, so it’s probably a good idea to act quickly if you want it.

The 2,569-piece set isn’t the oldest modular building on the market – that honour goes to 2017’s 10255 Assembly Square, launched to celebrate the subtheme’s 10th anniversary – but it will apparently be the next to retire. And when it does, you can almost guarantee that it will skyrocket in price on the aftermarket, just like every other modular building before it.

Even if you’re not particularly keen on the ‘50s architecture, grabbing 10264 Corner Garage while it’s in stock could therefore be a solid investment (if you’re into that kind of thing). Or you could use the pieces for one of the many alternate builds available on Rebrickable, including this inspired pub and townhouse combo.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
