Alternate building instructions available for LEGO 40532 Vintage Taxi

If you’ve made your LEGO 40532 Vintage Taxi but want to play around with the look of the vehicle, alternate building instructions are now available.

40532 Vintage Taxi was available earlier this month as a gift-with-purchase with qualifying spends of £200 / $200 / €200 or more. The cost of picking up the GWP may have put a lot of fans off, as even buying 10297 Boutique Hotel or 10278 Police Station to compliment 40532 Vintage Taxi still would have left you short of the required spending threshold.

It’s debatable whether the set justified the qualifying spend, but the 1930s era vehicle is certainly a great model (as we discussed in our in-depth review) and one well-worth tracking down on the secondary market if you can find it for a reasonable price.

For those collectors who did manage to get the set, Rebrickable is now offering free alternate building instructions for 40532 Vintage Taxi. The site includes a number of options for transforming the vehicle into a Rally Car, SUV, Bobcat, Cool Sports Car and more designs. Each build uses only the LEGO pieces included with 40532 Vintage Taxi, but you can always add more of your own if you’re looking to customise your creation ever further.
