Chance to win LEGO 10124 Wright Flyer with Guinness World Records

LEGO collectors can be in with a chance of winning a long retired set, 10124 Wright Flyer.

In Guinness World Records 2019, there is a section looking at amazing LEGO modes, including 10124 Wright Flyer. The 15 year old set that was used in the making of the book is now available for one lucky fan to win. As it has not been available since its first run, which started in 2003, it is quite the prize. Prizes given away so far from the book include 75192 Millennium Falcon.

This copy of the set was used for the photography on the book, so has been assembled and since dismantled, but all 670 elements are present. To be in with a chance of winning, entrants need to head to the Guinness World Records website before Friday, December 14.

10124 Wright Flyer represents the first power driven aircraft, making it a landmark vehicle in the history of flight. The very first flight took place at 10.35am on the December 17, 1903, with the aircraft flying 120 feet at an airspeed of 30mph. Orville and Wilbur Wright were keen followers of the progress of manned flight experiments that were predominantly taking place in Germany.
