Compare LEGO Star Wars UCS Venator to UCS Imperial Star Destroyer – and more

The latest LEGO UCS set journeys back to the prequel era with 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser – but how does it compare to those that came before?

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is the latest in a long line of UCS models from the theme, but the easiest comparison to draw is between it and 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer. Both are enormous war cruisers designed to lead armies, with the Republic Venator paving the way for the Empire’s later Star Destroyers.

While in a galaxy far, far away, Venators were smaller than the larger, updated ISDs, the scale isn’t quite accurate between the two ships. The ISD is roughly 445 metres longer than the Venator, however, so the slight size difference is vaguely in line, with 75252 being 110cm to 75367’s 109cm. the more obvious difference, however is the shape, with 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser exhibiting the unique silhouette of the Republic-era ship.

There’s also far more colour in 75367, with red accents throughout the main body of the ship and the dual control towers. You can see these differences most clearly now that the first reviews are starting to be revealed, with LEGO YouTubers like Solid Brix Studios, The Brick Wiz, and MiniSuperHeroesToday comparing 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser to 2019’s 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer.

However, 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer isn’t the only ship that’s interesting to compare 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser too. In fact, the latest UCS set isn’t even the first Venator. MiniSuperHeroesToday compared 2023’s addition to the LEGO Star Wars theme to 2009’s 8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser.

While most obviously 8039 is much smaller, it still has the same red accents and distinctive silhouette. Plus, the smaller build does have one advantage over the updated set, with the main body of the ship opening up to reveal the interior, a feature that 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser lacks.

To get an even greater sense of the size and scale of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, Solid Brix Studios also compared the upcoming LEGO Star Wars release to several UCS sets that came before, including 75355 X-wing Starfighter and 75331 The Razor Crest (among others). Moving away from Star Wars, you can even see 75367 next to LEGO Icons 10318 Concorde, another high-flying vehicle of a similar length.
