Free The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part trading cards with product purchases

Fans can now collect free trading cards as they spend on The LEGO Movie 2: The Second part products.

At shop.LEGO.com today, 70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! launched as a centrepiece set in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part theme. Additionally, a new promotion has started that will allow fans to collect an exclusive series of trading cards with purchases on The LEGO Movie 2 products.

Each pack of cards contains four trading cards. According to a LEGO e-mail sent out to VIP members, any order placed worth £15 or more gets free cards. In practice, an order worth £40 or more has to be placed to get three free packs of cards. How to get the advertised trading card album is anyone’s guess. Brick Fanatics will share the correct information as soon as the confusion has been rectified.

In total there will be 36 cards to collect and fill the album with, each one showing a different character from the upcoming animated film.

The promotion is available until February 24 unless supplies run out before then.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019.
