Giant LEGO inspired helicopter model actually flies

A supersized LEGO project tends to be entertaining, as Adam Woodworth demonstrates with this upscaled helicopter.

In the same way that Matt Denton’s impressive giant LEGO creations capture the imagination of fans, Adam Woodworth produces entertainingly large versions of LEGO models in a different way. What makes this particular helicopter extra special, is that it can fly.

Attention has been drawn to this extra large LEGO chopper by Gizmodo, who spotted that it is an upscaled version of the vehicle from 6396 International Jetport. This larger version is built from lightweight foam and uses four motors hidden underneath to keep it in the air. Even the minifigure inside the cockpit has been handcrafted from foam – everything involved in the LEGO tribute is a one-off piece.
