Is LEGO about to release a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows set?

The LEGO Group is rumoured to launch a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows set after stating that the films don’t entirely share company values.

Following the initial rumours of a summer wave for LEGO Harry Potter, StoneWars is reporting to have new information for the range, including one set that they believe to be based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a multi-part release that was deemed not as in line with company values as earlier films in the franchise.

For those who need a reminder on the possibility of LEGO Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows models, LEGO Design Master Marcos Bessa commented on the potential of builds for the movie in 2021.

“It’s definitely not to say we won’t cover the later movies at some point, but they do tend to be aimed at a higher age, which is why we target the first few movies,” he shared. “Our overall values are more in line with the first movies where there’s more magic, and the universal theme of a wizarding school is more in line with our values.”

However, StoneWars is reporting that there will be a set based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows soon in the form of 76403 Ministry of Magic. According to the source, the scene that the model will be inspired by is the infiltration of the facility from the first part.

While these rumours have not been officially confirmed, the rumoured set is said to include 990 pieces for €99.99 and is mentioned as launching on June 1.

We nearly received a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reference in a LEGO model in 2021 as 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition almost included the necklace from the films, though that was removed from the design as it felt out of place according to Marcos Bessa.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
