Last chance for LEGO Classic Space 40580 Blacktron Cruiser GWP

Time is almost up to get your hands on the latest LEGO Classic Space redux, 40580 Blacktron Cruiser, which is currently free with qualifying purchases online and in-store.

You’ve only got until the end of play January 14, or while stocks last (they could still run out before then!), to buy enough LEGO to acquire the 356-piece ode to 1987’s 6894 Invader. You’ll need to spend at least £170 in the UK, $190 in the US or €190 in Europe to qualify for the free gift, but the good news is that there are no restrictions on particular themes: you can buy everything and anything to reach that threshold.

40580 Blacktron Cruiser is a pretty substantial freebie all in, and while it won’t quite match up in size to the seminal 10497 Galaxy Explorer, it’s still a fine companion for that 90th-anniversary LEGO Icons set. It’s modular by nature, so can be shifted into multiple different configurations, and includes an updated Blacktron minifigure with back printing for the first time.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
