LEGO 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar can suit any style

To commemorate the reveal of LEGO Adidas 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar, the LEGO Group have unveiled several custom designs for the brick-built trainer from some creative sneaker lovers.

The LEGO Group teamed up with six prolific custom sneaker creators to promote the announcement of 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar, and the final designs have been revealed with some colourful themes integrated within the new model.

Alongside the designs and a short excerpt explaining their arrangement, the original sketches can also be seen on the official online store, reimagining the model with ideas, other LEGO sets or something important to the creators all a part of the creations.

“I love visual contrasts and wanted to take advantage of the LEGO DOTS collection to help me build a series of patterns that could vibrate alongside the iconic stripes of Adidas,” said Leta Sobierajski, whose custom design can be seen in the middle of the top row in the above image.

“[Adidas] continues to reinvent the meaning of what a staple can be…my parents wore Adidas. I grew up wearing them. I continue to wear them! And just like the brand, I am continuously evolving too.”

LEGO Adidas 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar will launch on July 1 for £79.99 / $79.99 / €89.99 and includes some unique packaging and an unorthodox build that you can see more of in our review. You can find out more about the other five custom designs on the official online store to get inspired on how to customise the build for yourself.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
