LEGO 2K Drive launches with new trailer and game crossover

LEGO 2K Drive is out now and to celebrate, a new trailer and crossover rewards with another 2K game have been officially revealed.

The launch trailer for LEGO 2K Drive has been released just in time for the wide release of the new LEGO game, though those with either of the Awesome Editions have been able to play the game for a few days.

The new trailer is more cinematic than previous teasers for the title, led by Clutch Racington and features snippets of in-game cutscenes. There’s nothing particularly spoiler-heavy though.

As well as the trailer, 2K is celebrating the release of LEGO 2K Drive with some free crossover rewards in NBA 2K23. Just enter LEGO-2K-DRIVE in your locker and you can grab a pair of thematically-consistent karts with decals of Clutch and another racer.

Also available, but seemingly not through a code, is a hoodie for in-game characters with the same decals. It’s an interesting crossover and might not be the last considering the multi-title partnership that the LEGO Group is now in with TT Games. Players equipped with the clothing, of which more is revealed in another image, can also earn double XP in NBA 2K23’s city mode.

Our review of LEGO 2K Drive is now available to read while you wait for your copy of the new game to be revealed, but beware as some player’s progress is being deleted.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
